    I’m Erika,

I’m an end of life doula.

The time of someone’s passing is often full of uncertainty and worry. Family members want to be sure they’re respecting wishes. The person dying wants to be heard but not feel like a burden. Everyone can find it hard to face what’s happening. These common difficulties cloud the potential for presence, love, and peace that is possible in this poignant time.

That’s why I became an end of life doula – to help you and your family care for each other in a way that feels right and to make the time you have together meaningful.

    My background.

As an occupational therapist, I understand the strengths and limitations of our healthcare system. I have experience working with people and their families living with various physical, mental, and developmental conditions. I am committed to you and your family’s holistic well-being, prioritizing safety, education, meaning, and quality of life.

As an Asian American woman, I understand the desire to provide care to our community, especially our elders – from a place of love, not just obligation. I’ve found that underneath a sense of obligation is often a deep well of love. I’ve personally experienced the joys and challenges of navigating intergenerational communication with relatives, and have felt the importance of creating ritual and ceremony during these salient life transitions.

As a meditator and end of life doula, I know that letting go, as difficult of a practice as it is, offers the path to a meaningful and peaceful transition. On the other side of letting go are new authentic expressions of love ready to rise.

I’d be honored to accompany you and your family through our most natural transition.
